The Dread Poet Michael
Dragon Dragon Caged
The beast still rages
Never again to penetrate
The dark caves
It was born to seek
Yet strangely content
In its confinement
Its rage becoming
Ecstasy
The violator
Welcomes violation
Its deeper nature
Revealed
For all to see
II
A ring of steel
Encircles
Confines
Binds
Its grip
Firm
Unyielding
Oddly gentle
Yet cruel
In its indifference
Always present
And never forgotten
III
So much like me
Though more
Penetrating
Firmer
Unrelenting
Always ready
Slides confidently
Into place
A good fit
Tirelessly
Makes all the
Right moves
Surrender
Is inevitable
Mercy
Is not guaranteed
IV
All cover surrendered
All shrubbery razed
There
Revealed
Lies splendor
Fount of creation
Ever seeking Union
Gateway
To healing
And ecstasy
